ETC will be hosting a 4 DAY INTENSIVE wrestling camp starting the 14th of June for grades 8- 12 . The week will include 4 days of solid training with a half day set aside for fun @ Lake Lanier Islands Beach & Water Park. Each day will consist of in-depth technique with Coach Bedard, plenty of live wrestling, and strength/ conditioning with Coach Williams to wrap up the evening. FREESTYLE/ GRECO SEASON BEGINS MARCH 9

Starting March 9th ETC will begin the Freestyle/ Greco season for our summer wrestling program. Summer wrestling is a great way to improve your skills and learn new techniques from world-class instruction. Coach Bedard has spent almost a decade competing in freestyle tournaments around the world and plans to share his knowledge and experience with our wrestlers. We will continue Folkstyle practice for our wrestlers who will be competing in the Little Kids State Tournament on the 13th.

We know it is a long ways away but we would like to put the word out that we are looking for wrestlers to fill spots. COACH BEDARD to FIGHT Feb. 4th for TITLE

Coach Bedard (12- 2) will be returning to the octagon on Feb. 4th in Lemoore, CA to take on Cole Escovedo (14- 4). This will be a 5 round fight for the belt. Escovedo was a former WEC Lightweight Champ before losing to Urijah Faber. Coach Bedard is on a 3 fight win streak after losing to former WEC Bantamweight Champ Miguel Torres (34- 2) who lost to Brian Bowles (Coach Jeff's training partner). The Elite Training Center Family wishes Coach Jeff the best of luck. Georgia will be be cheering for it's home town boy!

ETC`s Dixie Nationals RESULTS

After a long day of tough matches 12 of 14 ETC wrestlers that attended stood proud on the podium @ the 2009 DIXIE NATIONALS in Atlanta. With their heads held high each wrestler could finally take a deep breath of relief. It was a rough day all around for wrestlers and coaches trying to coach or cheer teammates on while running around the 12 mats setup for the youth and high school divisions. The tournament set a record for attendance which resulted in many high quality matches, especially in the youth divisions. ETC had 3 Champions (Sean Russell, Garrett Spikes, and Michael Haynes) who walked out with individual titles along with 9 other teammates that placed. ETC staff is extremely proud of all our wrestlers who participated and expect all the hard work and dedication to carry over into 2010. Our next youth tournament will be Jan. 2 at Jefferson High School. See you at practice!

ELITE WRESTLER commits to ARIZONA STATE

Elite wrestler, Joel Smith, verbally committed to Arizona State University this week. Joel is currently ranked 15th in the nation in "WIN" magazine's preseason high school rankings. We know the Smith family is very proud to have two sons committed to collegiate wrestling programs and we wish both of them the best of luck. Arizona State is currently ranked 17th in the nation for Division I and has produced numerous All Americans. Georgia wrestling should be very proud to have so many wrestlers advancing to the next level. Congrats Joel! Coach Jeff and Coach Robert are very proud of you and CJ. Good Luck!

ELITE WRESTLER commits to FORT HAYS STATE

One of our ELITE Wrestlers, CJ Collins, verbally committed to Fort Hays State in Kansas this week. Collins will be a great asset to their program and we expect to hear nothing but good news coming from the prairie. Fort Hays State is currently ranked 14th in Division II and is annually a top 15 team in the country. ETC is very proud and we wish him nothing but the best. Congrats CJ and keep up the hard work. Coach Jeff and Coach Robert are very proud of you!

On Saturday Elite Training Center took the "Overall Championship" at the 2009 Hardcore Championship at Mountainview High School.
